Terms of Service

These Terms cover all services operated by Wizardsardine, Lda. ("Wizardsardine", "we", "us"), NIPC 516022474, Canada de Belém, Parque de Ciências e Tecnologia da Ilha Terceira – Terinov, 9700-702 Terra Chã, Angra do Heroísmo, Portugal. By using any of our services you agree to the terms applicable to that service as set out below. For questions: hello@lianawallet.com.

1. Website

By accessing this website you agree to use it only for lawful purposes. The following are prohibited: copying or reproducing website content without written consent; using automated tools (bots, crawlers, scrapers) without permission; transmitting harmful or malicious content; attempting to disrupt or overload the website.

All website content — text, graphics, logos, images — is owned or licensed by Wizardsardine. You receive a limited, non-exclusive right to view it for personal or informational use only. Website content is provided for general information only and does not constitute a binding offer, warranty, or advice of any kind. We may link to third-party websites; we are not responsible for their content or practices.

The website is provided "as is". We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or error-free content and may update, suspend, or discontinue it at any time. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wizardsardine is not liable for any loss arising from use of this website.

2. Liana Wallet

Liana Wallet is free, open-source software (github.com/wizardsardine/liana) that runs entirely on your device. By downloading or using it you agree to the following.

By default, Wizardsardine does not receive, collect, or store any data from Liana Wallet — no wallet descriptors, private keys, seed phrases, transaction history, IP addresses, or telemetry. Everything stays on your device. If you enable Liana Connect (see Section 3), descriptor data and related metadata are stored on our infrastructure.

The software is provided "as is" with no warranty of any kind — no guarantee of functionality, stability, security, or correctness. You are solely responsible for:

• Safely generating and storing your seed phrases and keys.
• Maintaining offline backups of your wallet descriptor.
• Understanding Bitcoin transactions before broadcasting them.
• Keeping your devices free from malware.

Loss of keys means loss of funds. Wizardsardine cannot recover keys, seed phrases, or transactions. We are not liable for any loss of funds, data corruption, theft, or technical failure.

3. Liana Connect (free tier)

Liana Connect is an optional feature within Liana Wallet. If you choose to enable it, wallet descriptors, transaction metadata, and partially signed transactions (PSBTs) are stored on our infrastructure. By enabling Liana Connect you agree to the following.

The free tier is provided without contract, SLA, warranty, or guaranteed availability. We may suspend, modify, or discontinue it at any time without notice, including deleting stored data. It must never be used as your primary or sole backup method — you are responsible for maintaining independent local backups at all times.

By uploading your descriptor you acknowledge a reduction in transaction privacy: Wizardsardine's infrastructure may be able to observe wallet structure, address derivation paths, and transaction patterns. We do not use this information for tracking or profiling. See our Privacy Policy for details.

We are not liable for loss of descriptor data, metadata, or any indirect or consequential damages.

4. Subscription services (paid tiers)

These terms apply to all paid subscription tiers, including Liana Business and any future paid services. They do not apply to Liana Wallet or Liana Connect free tier.

What is included

Paid services may include remote access enhancements, prioritised processing, extended metadata handling, and additional business features. The exact features are those shown at the time of subscription. We may update, add, or remove features; material changes will be communicated in advance, and continued use constitutes acceptance.

Even for paid tiers, no SLA is provided unless expressly stated in a separate written agreement. You remain fully responsible for maintaining independent backups of your wallet descriptors, PSBTs, and metadata. Paid services must not be relied upon as your sole backup mechanism.

Pricing and payment

Fees are payable in advance. We accept payment via Stripe (in euros) or Bitcoin. Stripe is governed by its own terms and privacy policy. Bitcoin payments are final and non-reversible; we are not responsible for errors such as incorrect addresses or insufficient fees. We may update prices; changes apply from the next billing cycle.

Renewal and cancellation

Subscriptions renew automatically. You will receive advance notice of renewals and price changes. You may cancel at any time via account settings or by emailing hello@lianawallet.com; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partially used periods except where required by law. Approved refunds for Bitcoin payments are issued in EUR based on the value paid at the time of the original transaction.

Your responsibilities

You must provide accurate registration information, keep credentials secure, maintain independent backups, and not share, resell, or transfer your subscription without our written consent.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access if fees are unpaid, these Terms are breached, or your use creates security or legal risks. After termination, data is retained or deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Liability

Paid services are provided "as is". We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, loss of descriptor data, or failures caused by third-party providers or the Bitcoin network. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the preceding 12 months.

5. Governing law

All of the above are governed by Portuguese law. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lisbon, unless mandatory consumer protection rules in your country of residence require otherwise.

6. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision. Continued use of any service after changes constitutes acceptance.
